Welcome back, OOBTers! In today’s episode, M picks up where we left off last time…in the middle of a conversation between Job and one of his friends, Eliphaz. Oh, how devastated and hurt Job must have been by the barrage of words Eliphaz is attacking him with. Unexplainable and unimaginable grief with debilitating pain plus now accusation upon accusation of wrongdoing he did not commit coming from one of his closest friends… can you even imagine what Job is thinking and feeling at this point in his life?!

Then we hear from Job once again in response to Eliphaz's incorrect assumptions. What is so impressive about Job in these verses? Job doesn’t try to appear strong or brave or gloss over his pain by replying, “I’m fine,” like so many of us tend to do. Nor does he attempt to be some spiritual giant by suffering in silence. He speaks up. He cries out.
He owns and confesses his intense thoughts and emotions.
